History

As a student of Prof. Richard Hochrainer (former solo timpanist of the
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) I learned the Viennese tradition of the mallet production.

Within a short period of time my mallets have been very well received by my colleagues.

In the meantime many well known timpanists and percussionists worldwide (mainly in Europe, Japan, Korea, USA) use my hand-made “Kaufmann Mallets”.
